Questions
Will my codes stop working if I don't pay?
No. Codes on the Free plan work with no time limit. If you downgrade, codes over your new plan's limit are locked for editing but keep working for everyone who scans them.
Do people who scan see ads?
Never, on any plan. On the Free plan, hosted pages show a small “Made with QR Crab” badge; paid plans remove it.
What's the difference between static and trackable codes?
A static code is fixed once it's made and isn't tracked. Wi-Fi details, contact cards and text are stored inside the pattern and work offline; links open through a qrcrab.com link to a destination that can't change. A trackable code holds a short link: you can change where it goes at any time and see every scan.
What happens when I reach my monthly scan limit?
Your codes keep working. Scans over the limit just aren't counted in your stats until the next month starts.
Can guests join my Wi-Fi without typing the password?
Yes. A Wi-Fi code holds your network name and password, so phones can join straight from the camera. It's a static code, so it's unlimited on every plan. If you change the password, make a new code.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. It includes unlimited static codes and {n} trackable codes, with no time limit and no card needed.
