What's the difference between static and trackable codes?
A static code is fixed once it's made and isn't tracked. Wi-Fi details, contact cards and text are stored inside the pattern and work offline; links open through a qrcrab.com link to a destination that can't change. A trackable code holds a short link: you can change where it goes at any time and see every scan.
Is the Free plan really free?
Can I change a code after printing it?
Trackable codes, yes: change the link or the page content whenever you like and the printed code follows. Static codes can't change after creation.
What happens when I reach my monthly scan limit?
Your codes keep working. Scans over the limit just aren't counted in your stats until the next month starts.
What do you record when someone scans?
The time, an approximate location (country and city), and the kind of device, operating system and browser. Scan records never include IP addresses, and bots and link previews are filtered out.
Can I cancel or switch plans?
What if I go back to Free with more trackable codes than it allows?
Your oldest codes stay fully editable. Codes above the new limit keep working for everyone who scans them — they're just locked (no edits, no new stats) until you upgrade or delete codes you don't need. Nothing is deleted.
Which files can I upload?
PDFs, images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and audio (MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG) on every plan, and video (MP4, WebM, MOV) on paid plans. How big each file can be depends on your plan.
